Next to Nissan's almighty GT-R, the Corvette ZO6 is the major bang for the buck. The Z06 might be playing second banana to it's bigger ZR1 brother. The Z06 also delivers major performance. Okay, i'm gonna give a detailed review of this car. Every American car fan is lusting after the ZR1 right now but in order to do that, you need to sell your house, raid the children's college funds, put Grandma on the street, then you'll get to buy the ZR1.
Exterior:
I'd be a freaking dumbass if I said that the Z06 wasn't cool looking. Every single Corvette is cool. It has this sport car look. It's just different from others.Maybe it's because of the new quad exhausts that have butterfly valves in it. The noise is just amazing. And it's coming from that cool V8 up front.
Interior:
Even though the car is totally cool. The interior is a bit of a let down. It's better than the obvious Dodge Viper competitor. At least it has leather seats, a Bose 9 speaker sound system, a SatNav system. There is a lot of plastic in the interior. But then the car is cheap. The seats are fixed-backed buckets, that actually manage to hug you tight in the corners. The head-up display is extremely cool. And useful.
Performance:
The Z06 does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. And it's top speed is as near as makes no difference, 200 miles an hour. Chevrolet actually got a Z06 around the 'Ring in 7:40 seconds. It's brakes are good as well, pulling it to a stop from 60 in 105 feet. The Corvette managed 0.92 sideways G-force in the skidpad. The 'Vette is really good on the track.
Everyday Usability
The Corvette sadly, is as bad as it is on the road as it is good on the track. The din from those Goodyear Eagle tyres is unbearable. You can't hear anything. It's a nightmare. Although, if this problem was fixed, the Corvette would be an excellent daily driver.
And that concludes my review.
